On Tuesday May 24, Ambassador Hankins welcomed this year’s Mandela Washington Fellows to his residence. The Ambassador asked the Fellows, “What about Guinea makes you the proudest” as well as “What do you see are the biggest challenges of your country?” Many Fellows said that they love that Guineans are so welcoming.
The Mandela Washington Fellowship will equip these 15 young Guinean leaders to fight the challenges they find in their work. They’ll meet other young African leaders from neighboring countries, as well as American leaders in their fields. We are very proud of these Mandela Washington Fellows!
