On March 18, over 300 participants joined USAID Director Barbara Dickerson and the First Lady of Guinea at La Terrasse de Dixinn to promote the increase of Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health Services (RMNCH) through improvement of quality services. The First Lady stated, “I encourage all mothers to take their children to be vaccinated because only a healthy population can develop a country.”   USAID`s Health Communication Capacity Collaborative (HC3) Project strategies aims to restore confidence in the health system affected by Ebola by ultimately motivating the community to adopt healthier behaviors and work hand in hand with health facilities. The activities are implemented mainly by community health workers.  The launch event in commemoration of International Women’s Day included Dr. Madina Sissoko the Directrice  Communale de la Sante de Dixinn, the wife of the Prime Minister of Guinea and members of local associations who lent their voices to encourage women at the grass roots level.”
