On February 15 and 16, 2019, the Organization for Positive Change, which is chaired by a former Mandela Washington Fellowship Fellow, organized the National Forum on Governance at the Kaloum Hotel. The objective of this forum was to provide citizens with relevant information on democratic governance, administrative procedures, budget allocations, effective means of combating corruption and the impact of citizens’ activism on the fight against bad governance and corruption in Guinea. The forum included two days of discussions, debates and exchanges of ideas with members of the Guinean government, international institutions, members of civil society, media and former US State Department alumni in attendance. The forum also served as a framework for the general presentation of the Open Budget Initiative platform, realized through a grant received from the US Government.
