If you are a US citizen in an emergency, you can reach the Embassy 24 hours a day.

For emergencies during working hours, please call (+224) 655 104 000, from Monday to Thursday, from 07:30 to 16:30 and Friday from 07:30 to 13:30. 

For emergencies after working hours, on weekends or holidays, you can call (+224) 657 104 311 and ask for the duty officer. No documentary or passport services are available evenings, weekends, or holidays.
