Termination of Arrival Restrictions for Persons Traveling From Guinea
2 MINUTE READ
May 17, 2021

Due to the Government of Guinea’s effective efforts to contain the spread of Ebola virus disease, the U.S. Government has terminated arrival restrictions, contact information collection, and transmission requirements for all passengers arriving from Guinea effective as of 12:01am on May 14, 2021. In response to the Ebola resurgence in N’Zerekore, the U.S. Government on March 4, 2021 required the collection and transmission of contact information for passengers who were in Guinea within 21 days before their arrival or attempted arrival in the United States and directed all flights carrying U.S.-bound passengers departing from Guinea to only land at a limited set of airports where the United States government had focused public health resources to implement enhanced public health measures. The U.S. Embassy in Conakry will continue to work with our partners in Guinea until we stop this outbreak.
