Health Alert: COVID-19 in Guinea and Possible Commercial Flights to the U.S.
4 MINUTE READ
April 14, 2020

Event:  There are 319 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Guinea and no deaths.

The U.S. government does not anticipate arranging additional repatriation flights from Guinea to the United States. U.S. citizens who wish to depart Guinea should do so as soon as a commercial option is available or be prepared to remain abroad for an indefinite period.  All information we develop on any commercial options will be disseminated via STEP.

Ethiopian Airlines:

Ethiopian Airlines and the Satguru Travel Agency are working to facilitate a special commercial flight for U.S. citizens and those eligible to travel to the U.S. now expected to depart Conakry around April 19.  We understand the flight will be from Conakry-Freetown-Lomé-Newark, New Jersey at a cost of $3,500.  If you are waiting to get a better price, or to arrive at a different location in the U.S. you should accept that you will have to remain in Guinea until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, airports reopen, and airlines schedule regular commercial flights.

Please contact Satguru Travel Agency directly regarding this flight, the embassy cannot assist you in booking this flight:
