Chargé d’Affaires Hugues Ogier hosted U.S. Embassy Conakry’s official Independence Day ceremony on July 5. It was a great pleasure for us to celebrate America’s independence with our Guinean, American and other international friends. In his remarks, Chargé Ogier emphasized our mutual commitment to strengthening the U.S.-Guinea relationship, and our cooperation with Guinea throughout the Ebola outbreak. We continue to work with Guinea to help realize its economic, political and human potential.
Guinean Minister of Justice Cheick Sako shared the podium with the Chargé, echoing his commitment to a continued partnership between our two countries and expressing appreciation for the ongoing collaboration in various sectors of society and government.
