FECPA and U.S. Embassy collaborate on Women’s Rights

Former Social Affairs Minister encourages women to participate in all aspects of Guinean society, including politics, education, and business.

Not just on March 8 but throughout March, members of FECPA (Women, Citizenship and Peace Center), in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy, organized a series of discussions on women’s rights in local communities.  The month long program highlighted achievements of women and the important role they play in Guinean society, while collaborating to find solutions together. Under the theme “building alliances for gender equality and empowering women in a changing world of work” the closing ceremony on March 22 celebrated the long way women have come and also challenged women and men to continue working together toward equality.
