Under Secretary Dr. Sarah Sewall Visits Guinea

U.S. Embassy Conakry welcomed Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Dr. Sarah Sewall to Guinea from 18-20 April, 2016.

During her three days in Conakry and N’Zerekore Dr. Sewall met with government officials and civil society leaders to speak about human rights, justice, and the U.S. and Guinea’s partnership and commitment to strong and accountable democratic institutions.  Underscoring the crucial role of women in society, Dr. Sewall spoke with survivors of the 2009 Stadium Massacre, Ebola survivors, and women working in conflict resolution, education, and community service.
