Department of Health and Human Services Visit to Guinea

drkarendesalvo500Karen DeSalvo, Acting Assistant Secretary for Health, Jimmy Kolker, Assistant Secretary for Global Affairs, traveled to Liberia and Guinea for three days to visit Ebola response sites in the region.   In Guinea, Dr. DeSalvo and Ambassador Kolker visited the 115 Call Center and the Emergency Operations Center. They also met with mothers and their babies at the Boulbinet Health Center as part of the Presidential Malaria Intiative program, StopPaul!    The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is the U.S. government’s principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
