Location: Bambeto Circle, Conakry, Guinea
Event: A demonstration is currently taking place in the Bambeto Circle area of Conakry. Tear gas has been used, and burning debris has been seen. U.S. government personnel have been advised to avoid the area and find alternate routes if travel is unavoidable.
- Avoid demonstrations and crowds.
- Monitor local media for breaking events and be prepared to adjust your plans.
- Keep travel documents up to date and easily accessible.
- Have evacuation plans that do not rely on U.S. government assistance.
