Ambassador Simon Henshaw speaks with the leaders of the Labe House of Justice.

During his trip to Labé in March, Ambassador Simon Henshaw paid a visit to the Central Police Station and the local “House of Justice.”  The Labé Police Station has benefited from a training program for community policing led by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, which builds trust between residents and the police. The “House of Justice” supports the reform strategy of Guinea’s justice sector. The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs funds a program for communities with limited access to justice system services, and increases the information provided to the community about the roles and functions of the justice system, also providing basic legal assistance. This program includes community support and mediation campaigns for sharing best practices to address community legal issues.
