The embassy’s Commercial section encourages and facilitates trade and investment by American companies in Guinea. Services Offered through the U.S. Department of Commerce:

In partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service, the embassy can provide a variety of business facilitation services to American companies interested in investing in, or exporting to, Guinea. Although some services are free, others are offered on a cost-recovery basis.

Business Consulting

Schedule a briefing with our Economic/Commercial section during your trip to Conakry to get oriented to the local business environment. This service is free.

Trade Disputes and Advocacy

Running into roadblocks? Bidding for a government project in Guinea? The Economic/Commercial section may be able to provide advocacy support. This service is free.

Gold Key Service

Our trade professionals will set up a schedule of meetings for your trip to Conakry with pre-qualified Guinean companies ready to talk business. The Gold Key Service in Guinea costs $700 for the first day and $300 for the second day of appointments for a small company, and $2300 for the first day and $1000 for the second day of appointments for a large company.*

International Company Profile

Need background information on overseas partners? The International Company Profile program provides you with detailed reports on Guinean companies. The cost for each ICP report in Guinea is $600 for small companies and $900 for large companies.*

International Partner Search

The International Partner Search (IPS) identifies up to five prescreened local companies that are interested in working with your company. The cost for each IPS report in Guinea is $550 for a small company and $1400 for a large company.*

Single Company Promotion

Let us help you make your corporate event visible and successful with a custom promotion strategy, ranging from a simple press release to a cocktail reception. Fees for Single Company Promotions vary based on the nature of the promotion and the costs involved.

Commercial News USA is a bi-monthly publication of the United States Department of Commerce. This magazine lists new U.S. products and services and American firms seeking representation overseas. It is available online at https://www.trade.gov/export-solutions.

*A small company is defined as a firm with 500 or fewer employees or self-certified as a small business under SBA regulations. A large company is defined as a firm with more than 500 employees. Subsidiaries will be classified based on the size of the parent company.
